Morning Walk at the Park des Bains
The Park des Bains surround the Spa of Lons-le-Saunier and is very alike others Spas parks built at the end of the XIX-th century
It’s a very beautiful wooded park where it’s nice to have a walk and discover the different small lakes brighten up by the water jets.

Take a coffee on the charming square of the Liberty (place de la Liberté)
Under a nice sun, the patio of the Grand Café of the theater welcome you with open arms. We notice the stunning frontage of the theater of Lons-le-Saunier.
Inside the theater, we can enjoy the marvelous gilding, stucco, red velvet hanging and painting which were classified Historical Monument, as well as all the building.
Before you head to the rue du commerce, stop for a moment at the tower of the clock (Tour de l’Horloge), which is facing the Liberty square. It’s embellished with a dazzling roman numeral face but is not ringing anymore. This tower is one of the symbols of the city.

The Rue du Commerce is one of the most famous street in Lons-le-Saunier. You can count 146 arcades.
You can also find the Rouget de Lisle museum, which was set up in the apartment where the famous composer were born.
